PLANO, Texas Frito-Lay, America's largest snack food maker, expanded its latest Doritos campaign through an interactive website created by TribalDDB Dallas.
The interactive website allowed users to interact with characters acquired on greenscreen with high definition cameras. Scenes featured hip hop dancers, a firebreathing circus performer, a club DJ and more. Each scene was paired with specific Doritos flavors that epimoized each character. Introduced in 2004 as a limited time flavor, Black Pepper Jack joind other national favorites such as Nacho Cheesier, Cooler Ranch, Guacamole and Salsa.
We received twice as many consumer calls complimenting Doritos Black Pepper Jack than any of our other products introduced last year. said Stephen Quinn, chief marketing officer, Frito-Lay North America.
